A broken jaw can heal by morning and any death can be undone. When a scythe kills someone permanently it's called a Gleaning. Falling from a building is just called "Dead-ish" and you'll be revived. Alastair was a sophomore in highschool, going about his day. While walking he saw someone..in long flowing robes was a scythe.. coming to glean.
